So while I haven't been as active on here as of late (I have a facebook page where I upload my art and hell I even upload other places too.

But while I try and prepare some art and animation (some of which I need to finish) I shall talk about Undertale for a little bit.

Oh my god, I am in love with this game. While I will say that it's current hype comparable to that of FNAF, I can understand the hype of this more than I can the hype of FNAF. While the whole hype of FNAF was mainly because of the lore, the use of animatronic characters similar to those from Chuckie Cheese among other pizza places and of course Markiplier playing it, I wanna say that there is more to Undertale's hype that I've noticed and that I personally feel makes it rather popular.

For those who have spoken to me before or are really close friends of mine or know me really well will know that I am a really huge Earthbound/Mother fan. I have been for a good 5 years now. I honestly consider Mother 3 among my top favorite games of all time. With that said, there are factors of Mother 3 that I think make it a great game. The really compelling story with massive twists and really fleshed out characters, more characters you play as and even get to see the different perspectives of as you play as them which all ties the story together in the end, the music, the unique battle system and even the writing. There is a huge factor to it that I love.

Undertale feels a lot like Mother 3 except with a huge twist, it allows you to choose which character dies or lives be they a random encounter NPC or an important character. Not just that, it impacts the story greatly to the point where characters will either wanna be your friend or hate you even more because of it. I mean Telltale's Walking Dead and Epic Mickey had those same features (I'm sure more games have that feature, too like Fable supposedly).

The one thing I like about Undertale getting all this hype and attention is the fact that because Earthbound/Mother 2 didn't do so well in the US saleswise and wasn't released anywhere else in the world outside of Japan. Hell if it weren't for Smash Bros and the internet, the Mother series wouldn't have gained a cult following. Because Undertale has this huge Mother/Earthbound influence and it's popular shows that atleast a grand majority of the Mother fanbase who are playing this game and even bought it to support the developer show Nintendo that there is an audience for the Mother franchise. Hell it wasn't until Reggie kept getting bombarded with Mother 3 localization requests and in 2013-2015 when they finally gave us Mother 1 (Eartbound Beginnings) and Mother 2 (Earthbound) on the Wii U Virtual Console that Nintendo started noticing how big of a following this franchise has.

Hell even games like OFF, Lisa the Joyful, Ni No Kuni, Yume Nikki and even Citizens of Earth have gained the attention of Mother fans that have wanted a game similar to their beloved franchise.

I'm glad to see games like these be developed by indie gamers because atleast they can supply to us what we've wanted for so long.
